NYSA Jamboree Schedule

The schedule for this weekend's NYSA Jamboree has been finalized. All games will be played at Curtis High School. The field will be divided in half with designations of Field 1 and Field 2.

Limited Roster Spots Remain

Practice starts next week and we are quickly filling up the rosters on most teams, however some openings remain. To inquire about availability please email Ken Uddenberg at chairman@peninsulayouthfootball.com.

Final Equipment Fitting

Your last chance to get your equipment issued & fitted before the start of practice will be August 7th from 5:30p -7p at the PYF locker located at Harbor Storage, 2004 34th Street NW.

If a player is unable to make it on the 7th , they will still be able to get equipment but probably not until the second week of practice. Please notify your son's coach as soon as possible if you are not going to be able to make this final fitting.

Here are some things to remember:

Parents bring your patience. It takes time to fit players properly. We don't want to rush and compromise the safety the player.

No baseball hats.

Players should wear some type of shorts, preferably one of the following: compression shorts, girdle, sliding shorts, or cycling shorts - so that can make sure players get the correct sized pants.

Pants cannot be fit properly if the player is wearing baggy shorts, and we don't want to be making pant size corrections 1-2 weeks into the season. Remember, football pants are made to be tight .

Wash the uniform properly. Many of the jerseys are new and the dye has not set. Proper wash and care instructions can be found on the Equipment page.

The 2008 Seattle Seahawks Junior Player Development program will host six FREE JPD Camps in the Puget Sound area on July 7-12. Camp locations will be: Federal Way, Tacoma, Everett, Kent, Renton, and Seattle.

Equipment to be Issued

2008 PHS Seahawks Football Camp

Directed by the Peninsula High School football coaching staff and select guest coaches, this newly designed day camp designed to teach skills, safe playing techniques as well as speed and agility and will feature demonstrations by high school players.
